I would be interested in anyone with knowledge of Stainton's from 1880 onwards. My Fathers cousin had a shop in South Street/Finsbury Street, was called Harold. Any info greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for information regarding the apprenticeship of my Great Grand father John Henry Walker b 1844 in Brigg. He was apprenticed to Samuel Aitken, watchmaker & jeweller of Alford. I don't know whether he commenced the apprenticeship at age 12 or 14. He arrived in Melbourne Australia in 1863 aged 19. Any information about hime during that time would be wonderful Judith

Clippingdales disappeared from the Lindsey area after c1700. Clippingdales appeared in London area, particularly in the East End, in mid-1600s and remained. Has anyone any information on migration from Lincolnshire towards London for that time that would help me link them up? Jack

Any information on the parents of Henry Blackbourne born about1790 in Withern He married Jane Mundy (born about 1794 in Hollington) in 1815. They had a daughter Mary Blackbourne born 1818 in Binbrook St. Gabriels and she had a daughter Susan Webster Blackbourne in 1840 in the workhouse in Louth. Susan married George Quincey (born Bardney in 1835) in 1858 and they had my great grandmother Susanna Quincey born Raithby in 1869.

If any kind person could help find his Father, and also parents further down the line I would appreciate any info. I am not very good at this sort of searching. Looking for descendants of Richard Lanphier/Lamphier b1826 Cork, and Elizabeth Taylor b1831, Roxby cum Risby, Lincs. Richard was a physician/surgeon in Alford, Lincs; they had 10 children. Richard & Elizabeth were living in Harrogate by 1901, Richard died 1904 & Elizabeth 1911. One of their sons, George A. married Edith Anna Hartley Symons in 1902. Daughter Gertrude married Harry Gordon Blackburne. Daughter Mabel married Stewart S Blackburne. Did any of these couples have children?

Joseph Cawthorpe of Alford, Lincolnshire had 2 children at least: Hannah and Joseph Henry who were born 1833 and 1844 in the USA or Ontario Canada. They settled in East Nissouri Township, Oxford Co., Ontario, Canada, in the village of Thamesford where Joseph Henry ran a mill, harnessing the Thames River.
