On Feb 23 1829 Charles Vaughan and Catherine Fitzgibbon were married in St. Senan's, Shanagolden. Daughter Johanna was baptized there. Also baptism of Patrick, son of Michael Somers and Catherine Vaughan was recorded there. I have this information in family record but can't find any other records to confirm it. This was my great great grandmother and great grandfather. My Aunt copied the info from the Register of Marriages in 1934. Can anyone point me to where I could verify this info? Thanks so much. Info on an old hotel called Abbey Bar or the Bridgeman family also appreciated. The Abbey Bar was owned by Bride Pasotti and her husband. Mr Pasotti died young and Bride kept the hotel on

I am trying to find information on my Grandfather who arrived in New Zealand from Ireland sometime between 1907 and 1915. Various place names that i have from his various certificates are Finnoo/Finoe, Rathkeale, Ballyhahill & Loughill, Knocknaboula, Dunganville, Newcastle. I am not familiar with where these various places or if they are villages, parishes or whatever. I do know that they are all within Limerick. My grandfathers name is James Philip Bridgeman/Bridgman born 1895 Finoe, Shanagolden. His parents are Michael Bridgman who married Anastasia Ambrose Jan 1889 Newcastle, Ireland

Researching Corbett and Walsh/Welsh of Shanagolden in Co.Limerick. Patrick Corbett transported to Oz 1822, brother John transported 1831; John's wife Johanna Welsh and two children sailed to Oz 1837. After Cert of Freedom granted, John farmed in Goulburn/Boorowa area southwest NSW. Have detailed info on 6 gens of descendants here in Oz. Love to trace back further in Shanagolden now.
