red mail McKernan
I am looking for information on marriage of John McKernan to Ellen Burns (could be variation on her last name) in 1846. I found a military pension record in US for John McKernan who said he married Ellen Burns 1846 in county Leitrim Ireland. Family history leads me to believe Ellen was from Carrick on the Shannon County Leitrim. Their children in US were baptised in Roman Catholic Churches so I assume they were married in Catholic Church. Am I even looking in correct parish? I would appreciate any feedback. Mary-Anne
red mail LANNAN
The Griffiths Valuation shows my Gf Connor LANNAN to be in the Townland of Kilmaddaroe around 1845. I can find no further info on him. I do know he married Elizabeth Mc*** (unknown) and had at least one son Patrick LANNAN who married Bridget SHERIDAN in 1866 in Scotland. There is also a mention of another Connor LANNAN on the Irish Flax Growers, 1796 list in Kilmore Roscommon. Not sure if this is any relation as info sketchy.
red mail Abraham-Burke-Connor
I am researching the Abraham family originally from Kiltoghert Co Leitrim Ireland. James Abraham b 1846 was my 3x g grandfather, he married Catherine Burke who was b i1848 in Galway, her parents were Mary Burke b abt 1810?(nee Connor) and Patrick Burke b ?. Catherine also had a brother John Burke b abt 1843. James and Catherine moved to Huddersfield England in the 1860's. They had several children... Thomas b 1867 (not sure whether he was born in Ireland or England) Mary b 1870, Anne b 1872, Margaret b 1875, Elizabeth b 1878 and James b 1880. I do know apart from the first child they were all born in Huddersfield. The family lived at Silk Street Huddersfield accrding to the 1871 and 1881 census. I am struggling to find out who James b 1846 mother and father were and whether or not he had any siblings. Anyone out there know anything about this family. i am also interested in anyone who is descended from any of James b 1846 and James b 1880 siblings. Thanks for taking the time to read my message. Lou

Ellen, Kate, Fannie & Jane emigrated to New York City.
red mail McWeeny and Floyd families
Looking for descendants of Robert FLOYD or FLOYDE who married 1.) Mary McWEENY 1846 and 2.) Ann BEIRNE (or Byrne) after 1853. My great grandmother Rose Floyd was the daughter of Robert and Mary. Rose immigrated to St. Louis, Missouri, USA circa 1871-72 as did her sister Annie Floyd. Later two of her 1/2 sisters followed-Lizzie Floyd circa 1884 and Mary Floyd circa 1895. I believe that Robert may have had a son named Thomas who appears on the 1901 Census in Drumcromaun, Kiltubbrid. Thomas is married to Bridget EARLY and they have 4 children: Annie (6), Charles (4), Robert (2) and Thomas (ll months). Robert may have had a brother named Richard FLOYD who was married to Margaret Byrne
