New imfo discovered since my previous post has identified the wife of Edward FitzMaurice as Mary Lavin (Lavan/Laven)born about 1782 in Killukin, county Roscommon. The 2 unidentified sons nave been identified as Edward FitzMaurice, born 1817 in Killukin and Patrick FitzMaurice, born unknown date/place.He may have been the eldest son possibly born about 1805 in Nova scotia,Canada. Both these sons remained in Ireland after 1831 when Edward senior emigrated to New Brunswick, Canada.Patrick may be the Patrick FitzMaurice who later shows up in Cloonfad More, county Roscommon.

I am looking for imfo on Edward FitzMaurice, born abt. 1770 in Carrick-on-Shannon,Roscommon co. He married Mary Law abt. 1804?. In 1804 he enlisted with the British army with the 101st regiment of foot. He may have had a brother named John who was born abt.1785 in Killican and also enlisted in the same regiment. Edward served in Nova Scotia and Jamaica until 1814 when his unit returned to Ireland and was disbanded. He then was assigned to the 1st royal veterans battalion and the 5th royal veterans battalion until abt 1825. He was probably in Roscommon,Cork and Galway during this time. He had 2 sons (names unknown )who also enlisted in the army, one in the 30th foot, and the other in the 44th foot. In 1831 Edward emigrated to New Brunswick, Canada with the rest of his family.

Searching for parents of Bartholomew HEALY, b. abt. 1820, Co. Leitrim. Immigrated to US abt. 1849-51, settling in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. Allegedly he was a cousin of Michael, Daniel, Thomas and Ann HEALY, also from Co. Leitrim who settled in New Haven, Connecticut, USA in mid 1840s. In the US, Bartholomew HEALY m. Ann MCGONIGLE, half sister to 'cousin' Daniel's wife, Eliza(beth)McGONIGLE. Any information greatly appreciated.

Looking for information re: parents of Daniel, Michael, Patrick, Thomas, Ann HEALY in Co. Leitrim. On Death Certs, parents' names were shown as John HEALY and Mary HARVEY. Michael m. Bridget McLaughlin in 1838 in Leitrim. They had a son, Patrick, b. abt. 1842, in Leitrim. All emigrated to US abt. 1842 except 'older' Patrick, who was still alive in Leitrim after death of older brother Daniel in 1895. Have much US information to exchange.
