red mail First World War War Records For The Men Of Ratby
I have started a new project for with the focus of Commemorating the start the First World War. I have a list of the men of Ratby who lost their lives during this War and I would also like as much information as I can find about each and everyone of these men, although I am aware that some of the military records from the First World War were lost in the Second World War during the London Blitz and it may take me longer than I expect. I started earlier this evening with J.T. Richardson who I believe was in the Royal Navy and my search will go back to the 1911 census and this will also be my starting point for all of the men of Ratby who died for us, how else can I put it. I am also painfully aware that there is one name missing from this list I will add this later. (E.R.A) J.T. Richardson R.N PTE C Grudgings PTE D. H. Siddons PTE C.W. Hill PTE W. Biddle PTE C.H. red mail Church Farm, Church Lane, Ratby, Leicestershire
Hello, I am trying to find information about Church Farm, Church Lane, Ratby and I believe that there are records for this farm dating back to at least 1530 when the farm, perhaps known as Rectory farm at this time, was owned by the Priory of Nuneaton and a house of Benedictine nuns before the dissolution of the monasteries during the reign of Henry VIII. If any one has photographs or has any information this would be really appreciated. Best regards.

Is anyone researching the Cramp and Holyland families in Ratby, Desford or Arnesby circa 1750-1850. I am especially interested in Henry Cramp b.1816 and shipped to Australia as a convict. He died in Tasmania in 1894 leaving many desendants.
I would like any help in locating the parents of Sarah Bowles who married John Henry Burton. Sarah was born in 1860 in Ratby and married John Henry Burton in Ashby de la Zouche in 1884. I am compiling my husband's family tree and have no information regarding Sarah. Any help would be most appreciated as I live in Australia and it makes it difficult sometimes to get information.
