Neill, Neild, blacksmith - (Halewood - Lancashire)
Looking for any information about my father's mother's father's family. George Neild in later life, he was Neill when he married Mary Jones from Hope, Flints, in Halewood Church on Nov 16th 1879. He was the village blacksmith. My grandma reckons that they were originally O'Neill, but dropped the O' when they came to England. In 1881 I think they were in West Derby - he a carter, with a daughter called Esther aged 1. She may have died. They had 4 kids alive in 1901, by which time they were living in Crewe; Amy Harry, Alfred and my grandma, May. ANY help much appreciated. Susie
