I'm trying to find more information on my Great Grandparents John Patrick Garrity and Sarah Kaveney. They were both born in Ireland but I don't know which County. They were married at St Mary's Catholic Chapel, Widnes on 28th July 1884. At the time John was 25 and living at 55 Victoria Street, Widnes and his father was Patrick. Sarah was 21 and living at 10 George Street, Widnes and her father was John. The witnesses were Thomas and Annie McLoughlin. They had 16 children, losing 10 as babies or children. At least 3 were born in Widnes / St Helen's (?)- Mary Ellen 1886, John 1888 and Sarah 1890 before moving to Farnworth, Lancs where the family still lives. Patrick served in the Crimean War, John Patrick in the Zulu War and John served with 2 brothers in WW1 during which he was killed in action 8/5/1915 at Ypres. If anyone has any information regarding any of this I would love to hear from you. Thank you.

GEORGE ORMOND was born to MARY ANN ORMOND formerly,RIGBY,and GEORGE ORMOND - Aug. 1849 (Birth Cert.) MARY ANN RIGBY married GEORGE HALLMAN - Aug. 1845 (Marriage Cert.)I believe MARY ANN had 7 or 8 children in all, 2 or 3 with GEORGE & 5 with JOHN McCRIRIE. JAMES ALLMAN McCRIRIE,otherwise JAMES ALLMAN married in 1875, age 21.(Marriage Cert.)GEORGE "ORMOND" died as GEORGE McCRIRIE in 1883,age 33,informant on death cert.was JAMES McCRIRIE ,brother. GEORGE apparently married in Canada and had a son JOHN JAMES McCRIRIE before returning to England to live in Liverpool area, and had 3 or more children after return. JAMES HALLMAN McCRIRIE had 3 children and I have been successful in making contact with one descendant. Unfortunatley they have litle information. I am trying to trace the origin in Ireland of William J Bingham who moved to widnes sometime before 1881, where he was married to Kate Gandy. He was a cooper and was born around 1858; I have been unable to trace any further back apart from knowing that his father was John, a labourer who was deceased by the time William and Kate married in 1878. They had several children including Samuel, my grandfather, and Charlie who ran a bike shop for a long time in Widnes. Any info that could help me trace back to his origin in Ireland would be very helpful.

Hi to everyone I am researching the Dwyer family from Lienster ( Wicklow Kildare and Dublin )John Dwyer 1841 Kildare Married a girl named Ann 1845 They moved to Flintshire N/Wales in 1871-2 about 1877-8 they moved to Widnes Lanc's where they settled. The 1881 census shows them residing at 20 High Street and sharing dwellings with Joseph Hickey 1844 Ireland and wife Annie 1836 Chester. In 1876 Annie Hickey and Ann Dwyer both gave birth to 2 infants both in Flintshire. What I was thinking is ,Was Anne Dwyer a Hickey, sister of Joseph?, Does anyone have the answer to this plaguing problem of mine? Thanks in advance

Hi to everyone I am looking for a Peter Lightfoot Born abt 1880 in Widnes I know he lived in Moss Bank and that he married an Irish Annie. They had 5 children Mary Frances John Annie and Florence my Grandmother born about 1909 who married James Twigg born 1902 .He too lived in Moss Bank who's father was also James born abt 1880. He married an Irish Julia.they had 8 Children Daniel, John, Jessie, Esther, Mary, Elizabeth and James my grandfather Moss bank was a close knit community comprising of many Lightfoot families even the public house on the corner of Brown Street "The golden bowl" was run by a Lightfoot family.I cannot link Peter to any of these families.
