red mail Siggins (St Helens & Ireland)
Looking for any information regarding the Siggins Family. WILLIAM SIGGINS (my g.g.grandfather) born c1840 (Ireland). Married MARY (unknown) born c1855 (Ireland). In 1841 they lived in Parr, St Helens, Lancashire. They had 4 children in total Thomas (c1879), Patrick (c1878), Mary (c1875) and Ellen (c1884). All the children were born in St Helens. I think Mary went to live in Canada. WILLIAM SIGGINS died aged 36 and was buried on 12 January 1889. According to family anecdotal evidence Thomas and Patrick may have been killed in WW1 (but not sure). Ellen Siggins went on to marry PATRICK REILLY (RILEY) in 1902 at Sacred Heart Church, St Helens. Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you.
red mail Maddison

red mail Richard Evans
Further to previous message. Richard Evans death has been found in GRO index Sept Qtr 1940 vol 8b page 1283 showing age as 75 leading one to believe that he was born about 1865. One Richard Evans born 1865 when certificate ordered proved not to have a father named Charles. Richards marriage certificate showed him born in Welshampton and there is one record of a Charles with a son Richard and other children that might be him, except that I know Richard had a brother Lloyd and that family on LDS shows no record of Lloyd. Ellesmere was the registration district for Welshampton and was told only one Richard Evans showed up there between the years 1864 and 1869 and he did not have a father names Charles. Main question remains if anyone in or about St.Helens could find out his mothers name from St.Peters church or funeral home it would be the convincing piece as to who his family was.
red mail Richard EVANS in St.Peters Churchyard
My grandfather Richard EVANS died in Sep 1940. His marriage certificate shows father as Charles but no mother. Would cemetery or funeral records show his mothers name? Think a brother Lloyd attended funeral but find no record of him. Would like to know his age at death and mothers name.

I have got as far as John Pilkington born 1786 died 1872 and married someone called Ann born in 1791, they had four children, Coupe, Hannah, John and Durand? (not sure of the spelling), I would like to go back another one or two generations, to find a link with Pilkington glass (if there is one! my nana says her father was a part of the company). My nana was a Pilkington before she married. Does anyone have any information about Johns parents? Names, Year of birth, or even agood website where i can find the info! most of this family were born in and around the St. Helens area of Lancashire, Except my nana, her father Robert, moved to the southwest in Bridgwater, Somerset
