ALICE DANSON nee ENGLISH - My Grandmother
Alice DANSON, nee ENGISH (1884-1945) was my grandmother, wife of William Danson. They lived on Blackpool Old Road. My mother was very vague on Alice's background. I believe she was born in Bolton and went to Poulton as maid to the Potts family, prominent Methodists. She also acted as an unofficial midwife and helped with the laying out of the dead. I have failed to find a birth certificate. - no record at Bolton - so do not know the name of her mother, and had to wait until 1911 to find her definitely in a census. According to the marriage certificate of 1907 her father Henry, was a painter (deceased). Any help to find more knowledge of Alice much appreciated.

red mail John and Frank Miller
I am trying to track down a John Miller, born circa 1805, possibly in Poulton. His father, according to the parish register for his marriage in Norwich in 1839, was one Frank Miller. John put several different birthplaces on different census records over the years, but this seems most likely as I know he was in the 9th regiment of foot and the National Archives has a John Miller in this regiment during years that fit other information (1827-1847) which says born Poulton, Lancashire. If you can help please let me know!

Elizabeth Clarkson
My 4G Grandmother was Elizabeth Clarkson of Poulton-le-Fylde, bc.1795. She married Thomas Eaves of Singleton (b.1793) on 11 Jun 1816 at St. Chad's in Poulton. There's a birth ref of an Elizabeth Clarkson of 14 Aug 1796 from Stalmine, parents James Clarkson and Margaret Strickland. I can't find their marriage, but there's a marriage of a James Clarkson to Mary Riding in Poulton, 1790. So, I'm wondering if James married twice, or there was a second James Clarkson in the area at the time. Any help is appreciated.
