I am looking for Elsie Davies b about 1898. her mother died when she was a baby and she was taken in and brought up by relatives in newton le willows. i presume she lived with either her grandparents or a sister of her mother.her father wsa edwin thomas davies, a tram driver of liverpool then wallasey, but I know that she did not live with him. can anyone shed any light on elsie? thank you

My 3xgreat grandfather, Marcus NAYLOR, was born in Newton in Makerfield in 1788, son of Marcus NAYLOR and Martha (probably BILLINGE). His father was probably a shoemaker, and may have married in Liverpool, although originally from Ashton. The couple had about 10 children from 1769 - 1790.
