red mail Fletcher and Fielding families
(1.1) MY great-great grandfather was JOSEPH FLETCHER and I need details of his BIRTH which seems to have been c1817. The 1841 Census states that he was living in Portor Street, Liverpool, was a smith and born in the county (i.e. Lancashire). The 1851 and 1861 Censuses state that he was born in Liverpool. (1.2) WHEN Joseph married for the first time in 1838, he and his wife ANN FIELDING were living in Porter Street, and Ann also died there in 1842. (2.) JOSEPH'S two Marriage Certificates state that his father was JOHN FLETCHER, a whitesmith, but I have not found John in any Census, and still need details of John's BIRTH, MARRIAGE AND DEATH. (3.) I NEED details of Ann Fielding's BIRTH which seems to have been c1820. (4.) I NEED details of the BIRTH of Joseph's second wife, ELIZABETH FIELDING(Ann's sister!) which seems to have been c1823. At the time of their marriage in 1843 she and Joseph were living at Great Howard Street, Liverpool, but I have not found her or her parents in the 1841 Census. The family moved south between 1843 and 1851, and the 1851 and subsequent Censuses say she was born in Liverpool. (5.) ELIZABETH and Ann's father was JOHN FIELDING, a labourer in 1838 and a mariner in 1843. Hopefully Elizabeth was living with her father in 1841. IS THERE anyone out there who can help me with any of this?
