Edgar William Hill born Little Bolton in 1866. Married Amelia Brown. Had 12 children, migrated to Western Australia, then New Zealand. Died 1929. Any information on the Hills of this area would be helpful. His parents were John Hill of Wednesbury, Staffordshire, and Emma Hill nee Mason of Little Bolton.
At 1881 census, John and Harriet JACKSON lived in Little Bolton at 71 Water Court. John b. 1837, Harriet b.1845. There is some question in the official records as to their birthplace being Bolton or Manchester. Parish records insist it was Bolton. They were my g-g-grandparents, and I would appreciate any info on them. Thanks.

Seeking information on John Halliwell (gg grandfather), a mechanic who married Mary Lord on April 18,1858 in the Wesleyan Chapel on Higher Bridge St, Little Bolton. He was the son of another John Halliwell, a Gater of Looms. Have hit a wall on this family. I cannot locate the name of his mother, i.e. the spouse of John who was the Gater of Looms. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. The son of the above two (Halliwell and Lord) emigrated to Canada about 1900.

Entwisle Mary born 1832
Would welcome any information regarding birth/baptism of Mary Entwisle who was born Little Bolton c1832. Her father was John Hunter but mother unknown.
Mary Cullin (sp) (c1811), James Cullin (sp) (c1935) married to Isabella (c1839) originally from Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, Ireland and moved to Bolton. Had three children living with them in Green Street, Little Bolton, at the time of the 1881 census: John (c1869), Isabella (c1877) and Rebecca (1880). Would be grateful for any information about the family both while in Bolton and when in Ireland.

My great great great grandfather James Minion married Mary Monks at St Peter's, Bolton le moors on 7 March 1830. They appear on the 1861 census under the name of Manion but cannot see them or their family on the 1841 or 1851 censuses. I am looking for details of their birth dates and parents names as they married before marriage certification commenced.

Looking for details of Joseph Brooks (b. circa 1872)(who was deaf and married Lucy Spencer) and his brother James Brooks (b. circa 1874)who was sickly and apparently was never married. Looking for any information on my Great Grandfather who was born in 1861 in Little Bolton (Bolton). I know he got married to a Betsy Bromiley in 1882 and had my grandfather in 1888 however I cannot find my grandfather or great grandmother in the 1891 census although it would appear my great grandfather was back with his mother. This is driving me nuts. ANY help would be appreciated.
