I am looking for any/all known data concerning the reasons for immigration, i.e., local historical factors, economic issues, health issues, inheritance issues, etc. and any known personal data, i.e., marriage(s), birth(s), etc. of this family. Some of this family had been employed as sheriffs and peacekeepers, and others owned schools. They attended the Church of England.

Seeking birth details of Samuel Lee. According to IGI, he could be son born March 1810 to William and Ann Lee (nee???)at Deane, Lancs The 1851 Census for Heptonstall lists William Lee, a fustian cutter, but wife is Fanny - could she be Ann? By this date , my Samuel would have been aged 31 and was not at home for the Census. His son Edward, was born at New Road Bottom, Heptonstall, Yorks. December 1844. According to Edward's Birth Certificate, his mother was Betty Crowther. Can anyone find Samueland wife Betty in 1851 Census for Heptonstall or nearby? Grateful for any help.
