I am researching all members of the RYDER family in Bradford, Lancs, in the 18th and early 19thC. Links to TRAVIS. William Ryder, born about 1793 in Bradford, Lancs was a bleacher. He married Nancy Travis of Newton Heath. He was a possible child of Robert Ryder, a whitster, and also possible brother of John Ryder. John was also a bleacher (and farmer), and was the township's representative on the Manchester Poor Law overseers. If related, please contact.

My grandfather was called Samuel Jackson, and he married my grandmother, Alice Cunnliffe, around 1900. I believe his parents were called Samuel and Elizabeth (nee Alderson). Samuel and Alice lived in Bradford and had three sons (Samuel, Harry, Ralph) and one daughter (Alice). I am trying to build a family tree. Hi. I am looking for information on the marriage of George Stockdale my Great Great Grandfather. From the 1851 census he was born in Bradford in 1804. His wife's name was Jane and at that time had five children. Thomas, Ellen,John, Maria and James, all of whom I think were born in Darlington in County Durham. George is recorded as being a Book Seller and News Agent of 7 Prebend Row Darlington. His death has been confirmed as 11th November 1877 in Darlington. I'm searching for the RUSSELL family last found on the 1881 census RG11/4016. Address 58 Elliott St, Bradford. The family consisted of James/Patrick Russell father Esther Russell mother Anne Elizabeth Russell daughter Mary Russell daughter Amelia Russell daughter Emily Russell daughter I've searched for them in the 1891 and 1901 censuses but I can't find any trace of them. They originally came from St. Helens, Lancashire before moving to New Jersey, USA then returning to this country and settling in Bradford. The other thing was James was Patrick in 1871 and seem to change his name when he returned from USA. I'd be grateful for any help finding this family Thanks

On the 1911 Census the children are listed as: Frances 20 married a Parkin. Lived here until c.1970 Louisa 17 married Daniel Gunning. Ellen 14 married George Byron. Isaac 10 Henry 7 died in the 1920's at the local Pit. Alfred 5 married Doris Goodlock, he died in 1959. Isabella 3 Married a Beddow. Does anyone have any details of the above person? She was married to Jonathan Ambery who died in 1839 and lived on Neild Street Ancoats at the time of his death. She then married James Blease, a farmer, at Manchester Cathedral on December 13th 1840. On the 1871 Census for Bradford cum Beswick she is living in Queen Street and her place of birth is Liverpool. James's occupation was labourer at the colliery.
