I am looking for members of my Fathers family. My grandfather and father came from Bickerstaffe or Aughton, maybe my gramma nee Baldwin, Mary Alice, came from one of these places as well. she was born about 1880 had brothers Tom. Bill. Emma and others.Tom and Bill came to Canada. My grandfather had relatives, bothers and sisters as well that remained in England. My grandfather passed about 1957 and my gmother in 1948. I think they would have nieces or cousins still in the area.father was John with brother Ralph, grandfather was Ralph.It would be lovely to find out more.

I've traced several branches of my family back to Bickerstaffe in the late 18th/early 19th century but I'm not sure where to search for baptism, marriage or burial records as the church there was not built until about 1845. Does anyone know where my ancestors maight have been baptised etc.?
