Hi I am searching for my Great Grandfather John Thomas Bleakley Born 1882 in Glasgow along with his Sister Sarah who was born in 1884. We have found on other sites a link with Coatbridge but cannot be 100% sure we've got the right relations. They consequently returned to Belfast with their parents (I am not sure when) they do appear on the 1901 census and by this time my GG Grandmother (Agnes) was widowed. There are two other brothers on this census Patrick (Born 1878) and James the youngest (Born 1887). However by the 1911 census they are nowhere to be found and I am assuming they returned to Scotland. My Great Grandfather fought in WW1 in the Irish Rifles and I would love to find out where he fought etc. He survived the war. He also married my Great Grandmother Isabella and my grandfather was born in Belfast in 1913. Sorry for the long email but I though I would put in all the information we have at present. Thanks in advance.

Hi Can anybody help me track my ancestors who lived and worked in Coatbridge in Ironworks, The main relative i am seeking is A rather elusive one who is mentioned with 4 different forenames, He is either David, Daniel, Donald or John Dickson, who married Margaret Mckinlay in the late 1840's to early 1850's in coatbridge, he was a blast furnace fitter/labourer they had 6 children the eldest listed as either Daniel or Donald, There was also Sarah, James and Duncan - Twins and Peter, they were all born in the local area, the twins are listed as having been born in 1852 in Gartsherrie and the youngest in 1855 in Coatbridge. the Information above has taken a wee bit of research most of it gleaned from birth/marriage/death or census records the earlest of which is 1851 - gartsherrie aged 50, where they are listed as a family, but He disappears before the the next census in 1861, where the family turns up in Coatbridge in Steel street. If anybody could help or point me in the right direction i would much appreciate it. Martyn
