Now known as Prince Edward Island Canada. Two girls,Isobel and Elizabeth and one son Robert.are buried in Scotland. They were 33 and 32 years old when they sailed with three sons, John 8, Andrew 4, and James 4 months. They had one son David born in Nova Scotia. My mom descends fron Andrew. They had really bad winter on PEI and come spring they went across the water to Nova Scotia. I have info on this family but hoping to find more on the Scotland side. It would be wonderful to find new realitives. Hoping to hear from someone
red mail Dalrymple
I am researching Dalrymple family. I have copy of marriage for William Dalrymple and Margaret Jardine at Troqueer, Kirkcudbright, on 24th December 1805. They had two children to my knowledge Thomas Wallace and Catherine Dalrymple, born 1808 and 1812. Thomas Wallace Dalrymple then married Agnes Cassada? in Troqueer on 21 January, 1838. They had Peter Wallace Dalrymple in June 1838, who is my GGrandfather. Peter died in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1871. I believe he was a Mariner and married Catherine Painter while serving on HMS Conqueror c 1855. I can find no trace of how he arrived in Australia. If anyone has any details of this family I would appreciate same. I would really like to trace family further back, can anyone please help? Marjorie
