MY LAST KNOWN ANCESTOR HAD EITHER WAS LAST NAME OF DEVANNEY..OR COULD HAVE BEEN JOHN HERD THEY MOVED TO NEW YORK CITY AND LIVED IN THE BRONX.

Hello, I suspect I'm looking for a needle in a haystack. Thomas Richards born 1841 in Killarney. He was orphaned early and unofficially adopted by a gypsy tinker who abandoned him in England aged 12.

Married Charles Lewis Taylor, originally of Lambeth, Surrey, England in Adelaide in 1879. Arrived in Adelaide in January 1878 aboard the "Scottish Lassie" (Cornelius aboard the same boat).

My gggrandfather came from Killarney his name was John Sullivan. That is all I know at this point. I do know that he was living around the Ballarat, victoria area c1863. His granddaughter was Margaret Sullivan and Elsie Sullivan. Margaret was my grandmother. They lived in Gregory Street, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.

My grandmother's maiden name was Nagle, Caroline Cecilia, she was born in 1876 her father was Jarrett Nagle,was always told the family came from Killarney, I have no idea when he came to England or whether she was born in Ireland. I am having no luck in tracing her line.Can anyone help please.
