Patrick DUNN married Julia DELANEY, she immigrated to Canada July 1847 with sons John, Thomas and Kiron. In 1852, Patrick is in Waterford, Racine Co, Wisconsin and unable to locate family, he listed in "Missing Friends" that he was searching for sons from Crutt, Clough and that family members had traveled through Quebec, Illinois and Wisconsin. I found Kilkenny Famine Immigration listing for Patrick DUNN and 7 family members leaving 1847. Believe Patrick born about 1822, son of Martin and Mary, had brother named Edmond/Edward born about 1815 also immigrated to Wisconsin with wife Bridget GRADY. Any help appreciated.

William Hennessy married Bridget Brennan sometime 1863 or 1864. They had 6 children baptised in Castlecomer;Ann 1864,Bridget 1866,Patrick 1868, Joseph 1870,John 1872 and William 1874. Bridget came to NY about 1890. She married Nicholas Conroy. They had Helen 1892, Kathleen 1894, James 1896 and Elizbeth 1899. Additionally, John (1872) had a son William born 1895 who emigrated to Chicago. His ship registry lists Greens Hill Castlecomer as his hometown. In Chicago he was a police Captain known as Capt Bill Hennessy. He died 1985 and is buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Would love to hear from someone with information on the Hennessy and Brennan families.

Patrick Downey second marriage to Margaret Ring 1880 children John 1882, Brigid, richard, Ellen , Nicholas, Patrick, Michael, Julia, joseph. Johanna BRENNAN, d/o Edward BRENNAN & Ellen EGAN was bc1811 in Castlecomer Co Kilkenny Ireland. Her sister, Catherine BRENNAN bc1819, marr William PURCELL in Co Kilkenny and came to Australia 1841. Catherine & William sponsored Johanna and her husband, John BURKE & the Burke chn: Patrick, Thomas, Edward, Michael & Johanna. They arr. Sydney NSW AUS 28 Apr 1853 on 'Fortune'. John BURKE, bc1803 at Muckalee Co Kilkenny, was the s/o Patrick BURKE & Ellen SAUNDERS. Johanna & Catherine BRENNAN's sister Mary marr. John CLANCY & their children Eleanor & Michael CLANCY also came to Australia in 1863 & 1881 respectively. Initially, all these families settled in the Blayney/Carcoar district of NSW.
