I am looking for anyone who has connections with the following name - Arthur John or John Arthur NUNN. John was reputedly born in either London, Kent or Essex c1875 and he served the 6th Dragoon Guards, apparently married Amy PHILLIPS, born Birmingham 1876 to John PHILLIPS and Eliza (PITCHFORD). I have been unable to find the marriage details anywhere. He may have died before 1915 or been declared deceased as he deserted Amy, leaving her with 2 small children. Children of marriage were: Alice Maud b1896 d1973 (my grandmother) and Arthur John b1899 d1931 (suicide). I have been to the TNA, FHC and local studies section at the Birmingham Central Library but haven't had any luck so far. Any information would be welcome and I would offer help if it's required for the Birmingham area.

I am looking for Cyril and Leonard Perkins. In the early 1940s they were fostered by my greataunt and greatuncle King who lived on Fordham heath near Colchester Essex. When my gt aunt died I think Leonard went back to Dr Barnados and was being taught shoemaking. Cyril stayed in Colchester and finished his schooling at the Grammar School. I know he joined the Air Force later. His father used to visit both boys regularly and I think he lived in Kent.My mother who is 87 now would like to know how both boys got on in their lives.

I am seeking information on the following: Any BARTONS who settled in Ashford, Kent about 1866 on the death of their father, Barnaby (or Barney) BARTON, (c1819 Goodnestone, Nr Sandwich). He was a traveller, the son of Richard BARTON and his wife Mercy, (nee LEE). Barnaby married to Lucy WALLER in 1850 and they had a son Edward, (1858 Hythe), who married Maria NEWPORT GRANT, (1865 Ashford). Maria was the daughter of James NEWPORT, (1840 Hastingleigh), and Louisa GRANT, (1849 Kennington). James' father was John NEWPORT and Louisa's parents were Thomas and Mary GRANT.

Searching for the origins of Robert Morgan, Immigrant to Salem, Massachusetts.Most sources have Robert the son of Thomas Morgan and Catherine Herbert, but The Limbus Patrum Morganiae Et Glamorganiae clearly has Thomas's son living in London as lat as1676, while Robert of Salem died 1672. Robert is first seen in Salem in 1636, as he was given an allotment of 20 acers. He married abt. 1633, Salem, Margaret Norman, daughter of Richard Norman & Margaret Afford, Immigrants Somersetshire, England, settled in Marblehead Massachusetts in abt 1629. Robert and Margaret settled in the part called Cape Ann, which later became Beverly, Massachusetts. In 1671 Robert gave his age of 70 yrs old during a deposition filed with the Essex County Court, Salem,Ma., putting his birth 1601. He died between 14 Oct, when he wrote his will and 10 Dec 1672, when an inventory of his estate was taken.

I am trying to establish information regarding George KNIGHT and his father Thomas Moulton KNIGHT. I have little information to go on - George is shown in the 1881 census as age 42, a Widower, his birthplace was Kent (Parish Not Known). His occupation is shown as a Boilermaker and he was living at 21 Riverhall Street, Lambeth at the time of the census. I do have George's marriage certificate which shows he was married to Elizabeth WHITE on 10-Apr-1861 in West Hackney. George's father has an unusual middle name (Moulton) and his occupation was shown as an Engineer on George's Marriage Certificate. I have only come across this name once (IGI - shows christening of a Thomas Moulton Knight in Manchester on 14-Apr-1811) but am unable to make a firm connection. Has anyone come across these individuals in their researches in Kent ? I would really appreciate any clues / information.

I'm trying to trace Dorothy Louisa CLARK. She married Seth James CLARK in 1909 and died in 1929. Her parents were Edwin and Mary Jane MILLAR (nee Cousins). Her birth date seems to have been around 1881. Her father was a Sergeant Trumpeter in the Cornwall and Devon Miners Artillery and was based in Falmouth about that time. He was probably serving at Pendennis Castle.
