I am the paternal grandson of Captain Arthur George Teasdale Matthews MBE (1896-1980) and am seeking information for family tree research into Cyril Matthews one of three brothers of the Arthur . Cyril and his wife Eileen left India circa 1948 following Partition and settled in the village of Sellinge / Lyminge near Ashford Kent where they stayed until the mid 1970's I believe . Their house was large and detached with land and guarded by peacocks as I recall. My father is Stanley Paul Arthur Matthews and mother Shelia Matthews ( nee Blake / Hanson ) If anyone has any information please do get in contact Regards Andrew

I am searching for any relatives of my great uncle Edwin Longhurst. I know he was born in Ashford but was living in Lyminge aged 23 in 1901. I seem to recall someone in the family living at a pub called the New Inn in Etchinghill. I would love to hear from anyone who may belong to this family.
