CHILVERS
John CHILVERS was born in Hythe Kent in 1809. He was a tailor by trade. I am researching his subsequent family who resided in Kingston upon Thames. It is any siblings of his that I am interested in - I have details of his children etc. He married in London to Sarah HOLDGATE in 1825 and subsequently moved to Kingston upon Thames. Although there are a lot of CHILVERS in Kingston upon Thames and Norfolk I have not been able to find any other than John in Hythe. Edna.
Austen family of Aldington Hythe Kent
I have researched ny Austen family who ended up in Ramsgate back to Aldington Kent. My4x greatgrandfather was John Austen a BAKER who was born in the 1763 era. His death in 1810 gives me this age. The main one I found was John Austen the son of Jonathan and Sarah in Aldington neat Hythe. I have found an apprenticeship for a John Austen to a David Miller, Baker in 1778 which fits in with his age. I also came across mention online of a David Miller leasing a piece of land with windmill at Hardways Edn Hythe in 1776. I am hoping someone local knows where this part of Hythe is, I am coming to Hythe in May to do research. Any help appreciated. Thank you.
