red mail PARK(e)S of Headcorn
My Parks/Parkes/Sparks line originated in Headcorn, the earliest I've found is Alexander who married Anne Hernden in 1680. He may be a descendant of Henry Parkes of Hedcorne who left a will dated 27 Nov 1593. Henry's wife was Alyce and his children were John (eldest), Ralphe & William. Henry also owned land in Sutton Valence. Would love to hear from anyone who has traced their PARKS forebears back to Headcorn, I've done extensive research on them and am always willing to share it with anyone. Cheers.....dawn, nz
