My belief is that the father of the family was serving in the British Army in India (does anyone know what campaign was was being fought in India then) at the time of Albert's birth, but beyond that information i.e. was he killed in action or did he stay in India whilst his wife and subsequent children lived in firstly Plumstead, Kent and then Greenwich, London?
