red mail George WESTBROOK
I am seeking any information on George WESTBROOK (c1782+) sorry I can't be more precise on his birth date, however he married Ann CROUCH on Dec 8th 1817 at St Andrews, Canterbury. In 1817 they had a son George Anson WESTBROOK who is my 2 x grt-grandfather on my father's side. George Anson who originally was a grocer became a policeman within the Maidstone area and was on the force for 29 years and seems to have retired as a well respected man and with one of the earliest police pensions. The key areas are Eynsford, Maidstone and Sevenoaks. Little is known about George WESTBROOK and it is him I am seeking any details about and if anyone can help me it would be much appreciated. George is a mystery especially his profession which it is believed might have also been a grocer, however there is a possibility he might have been a bargeman and has even been given the lofty title of gentleman, which of course could mean anything. We are not sure even if he was a Kent man,

red mail BALDWIN - SWANSCOMBE, KENT
Hi, am researching family tree from Australia which can be very difficult! My Grandfather was Walter Ernest Baldwin born in Swanscombe in 1909. His parents were Walter Baldwin (c1883 - 1929) and Emily Cox (1885 - 1935). They lived in Church Road Swanscombe, and are buried in the Swanscombe cemetery. I believe they had 5 children: Pearl, Walter, Emily (Em), Alfred (Alf) and William. If anyone has any info or can point me in the right direction, it would be most appreciated! Cheers
