I am looking for anyone related or with knowledge of the Graf family, the Conlay family or the Bradshaw family living in Deptford, Kent 1850-1910. My great, great, grandmother Sarah Bradshaw, dob circa 1850 (first married a man named Conlay (had children named William and Elizabeth) and later married Rudolph Graf, a naturalised German master Baker) They were living in Prince Street, Deptford around 1880-1910 and had several businesses in the area. Sarah was great friends with a Mrs Rawlings, around this time.

Am looking for details on Thomas William MARTIN (b: 1858/59 in Birmingham)who became an Electro Plate Polisher (also listed as Brass Polisher) and who moved to the Deptford area around the beginning of the 1880's. Have a possible wife's name of Agnes (b: 1861/62 also in Birmingham) and their oldest daughter Eliza who may have been born in Birmingham or Deptford in 1885/86. A further 10 children then appear to have been born whilst they were at 33 Shere (Shane) Road, Deptford according to the 1901 Census. Any information much appreciated.

I am trying to discover the origins of Edmund Atcliff who, tho born in Rochford Essex, spent most of his life in the Deptford area. His father was Joseph Atcliff who was a Bootmaker in the area. I have found Edmund's first marriage in 1869 butcan find no trace of his birth or the record of his father anywhere. Should anyone have this information or know how I can obtain it I would be most grateful. There is a reference to Joseph Atcliff in the Post Office Directory for 1851 under bothKent Villages and Towns(section R page 413) and the Trades Directory page 927 but I cant find a way to access this from here.

James was a Metropolitan Police Constable. They had at least three children, James, Margaret and ?Percy. My grandfather, George G. Craigie born here in Deptford in 1885. His father, John Gordon Craigie born in Poplar in 1859, married Maria Mary Ann Clamp from Nottingham. They had 4 children, Arthur Charles who died in infancy, Jeanie Florence Craigie,1881, Eliza Emma Craigie, 1882 and George Gordon, 1885. John Gordon Craigie left his family and went to Australia and from there we don't know. We think that he died sometime between 1897 and 1901. On the 1901 UK census it lists Maria Mary Ann Craigie as a widow. I have information on all of John Gordon's siblings, most of whom were born in Poplar and his father Alexander and grandfather, Alexander, who came from Aberdeen. Maria Mary Ann's maiden name was Clamp. Her father was John Greenshield Clamp and her mother Jane Elizabeth Stavely. Maria Mary Ann married Captain James Farquhar and lived at the dockhouse of the Surrey Commercial Docks in 1909. We have a wedding picture of Eliza Emma Craigie marrying John James (Jack) Clamp in 1909.

His father's name was Joseph Henry Harris who worked as a cleaner at the Peek Frean biscuit factory.
