Jeanetta Constance Oliver (nee Cornock)
Jeanetta Constance Cornock was born in 1870 in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. In 1893 she married William Thomas Oliver, a coach maker in the parish church at Meole Brace in Shropshire (Salop). Jeanetta died in 1899, the death registered in the Cranbrook district. Can anyone see William Thomas Oliver on the 1901 census or that of 1911? I suspect that he remarried in 1902. What I really want to find out is whether William Thomas and Jeanetta had any children. Any help would be much appreciated. Chris

red mail Wilsley Pound Cranbrook - 1948
In 1948 I stayed, together with my family, with a lady who was called Auntie Laurie. She lived in one of the cottages at Wilsley Pound and I should like to know who she was (surname and perhaps a different christian name). I have a list of the folks who were living in the cottages in 1948 which I got from the electoral roll but nothing 'fits'. My maternal grandparents were Harry and Emily Matilda Jenner. They lived in the town of Cranbrook. My great great grandparents Thomas and Elizabeth Jenner lived in one of the Wilsley Pound Cottages as did some of their children so I'm assuming a Jenner link.

She was thought to be nee Hardy but we think now nee Berridge from Walton Upon Trent in Derbyshire!. So I have been unable to establish a connection as yet with Cranbrook. John Amos was a millwright and built 2 mills still standing here in Tasmania and I wondered if perhaps he worked on your historic Mill? Cranbrook had to be of significance to name his House and Farm after it?
