I am looking for any information about my great grandfather Charles Brown. His date of birth was 6th June 1857, and we think he was born in Cowden but have been unable to trace his birth certificate. We think his father's name was Jonathan and his mother Frances, and believe there were other siblings. My 6x great grandfather was Michael "Mickie" Mitchell born in Cowden, Kent in about 1796. My direct lineage harks back to Cowden but records such as Births, Marriages and Deaths etc only go back to the late 18th century. Does anyone have any info on the parents and/or brothers and sisters of Edward (B:1822) and Mary (B:1823)Creasy. They had seven children, one of whom, Annie, married a Winnifrith in the village. Most of the others left the village and scattered to the four corners of Great Britain.

I am currently trying to obtain more information about my great, great grandparents - Edward Still and Ann Still (late Jepsup formerly Jenner) They were living in Cowden Kent in 1842 when a daughter, Hannah (my great grandmother) was born - on 20thSeptember to be precise. I have not been able to find out any more about the Stills despite checking census from 1841 to 1891. Hannah married Robert Hodge and lived in Edenbridge Kent. Her daughter Harriet Ann, my grandmother, emigrated to Australia with her husband, James Henry Stevens, and five of her children in 1911. My father was her youngest child born in Australia in 1914.
