I have a book, published in 1927 that traces many branches of the Harvey family tree, as far back as 1320. Entitled ‘The Harvey Families of Inshowen and Maen’, the book is a single edition with only 100 copies printed, and I imagine this would be the only edition. It contains detailed family trees of the Harveys for six centuries, Scotland to Canada and the US, in fold-out diagrams, as well as written accounts of family histories. It also postulates on earlier ancestors from 890AD. Willing to share/reproduce info.

Hunn of Charlton Kent
Mary Alice Hunn, from Charlton Kent, England, married John Schroder, from Germany, probably in the US in the early to mid 1800s. John had a brother named Charles Schroder. Mary Alice had a sister named (unknown) Hunn, who stayed in England and married there (unknown married name). John and Mary Alice had at least 2 children named Charles and Edward in the US, and Charles later married Mary Harrington from New Zealand. They were my grandparents, but most of my family is deceased and I am trying to trace the Hunn roots, with little luck. Does anyone know anything about Mary Alice, or any of her family? Any information would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

My Grandfather was FREDERICK FASEY born in Germany of german parents August Fahse & Maria Nee Marteus. He was born circa 1880 & died 1911 having been lost overboard from the vessel Port Logan west of Australia. He & his elder Brother Carl had anglicied their surname from Fahse to Fasey Carl calling himself Charles. Charles married Martha Hellmuth in Woolwich reg office in 1904 & FRed married Emma Dartnell the same year. Maria Fahse (their mother) died Dec 1907 about 10 days before Fred & Emmas son also called Frederick(my Dad!) was born She died in the german Hospital Dalton of TB. At the time she died she & August were living with Charles & Martha & family at 61 Cedar Grove(later renamed Floyd Road in WW1) Charlton.Know Charles & Martha had a son Charles & a daughter Gertrude Violet Herta. another son George born after Charles.s death died aged 3 months in 1911.At that time the family were living at 439 Woolwich Road Charlton. Dont know what happened to August senior or the other sons August Willhelm & Gottlieb. Gottlieb was the only son born here in 1889 in Bradford Yorkshire. August senior was a carpenter. Would love to make contact with any of the descendants of the family

My Grandfather Harold Windiate was born 30/01/1893 at 398 Woolwich Rd. Charlton Kent to Henry Windiate and his wife Alice Sarah Knight, they also had a son Albert born in 1891. Henry worked as a bombadier at the Royal Arsenal. Harold emigrated to Australia and was married to Winiferd in Lithgow NSW in 1917, any information about the Windiate or Knight families in UK would be greatly appreciated.
