red mail john cuthbert in boughton monchelsea and ashtead
john cuthbert used to live in boughton monchelsea until the 1820's then presumably it was the same person who went to live in ashtead. Th death certificate shows he was born in boughton monchelsea in 1780 and died in ashtead hospital in 1860. The death certificate says he was married to a 'Maria', but there were no children. There is reference to a john cuthbert in the book: ashtead "a village transformed" - presumably this is the same john cuthbert, I am interested to know more about this john cuthbert, and if he had a son, another john cuthbert, who also had connections with the maidstone area, and used to go fishing in maidstone, according to some notes. This is strange since the first john cuthbert was supposed to have died without children, at least from his only? or final marriage. An edwin cuthbert was born in 1846, and was supposed to be the son of a second john cuthbert. Again I would be interested to learn more about this person. One address was in the Dulwich areaa of London.
