red mail (John) Edward Burbridge b.1857 d.1946 Leeds
Ist marriage details show his DOB as 1852 and his wife, Hester's the same but 1861 and 71 censuses clearly show her as younger. Confusion over his DOB probably because they were getting married under age and perhaps did not get family permission. There is no record of his birth but the Baptist Burbridge family in Sandwich had an Abraham, born in 1857 who shows on the 1861 and 71 censuses but not on 1881. There appears to be no death record for Abraham. Suggest that he may have metamorphosed into (John) Edward?
