Catherine (Kate) GRANT bd 1816 married to William McKENZIE bd 1806
Catherine was baptized in nearby Killearnan Parish. Catherine and William are my ancestors who emmigrated from Scotland shortly after the birth of their two children Janet in 1836 and Roderick in 1838 in Contin Parish. I can find birth records of the two children I've also learned that William's parents were George Simmons McKenzie born in 1784 in Logie-Easter, Ross and Cromarty. George was married to Mary McLeod born 1785 in Rosskeen, Ross and Cromarty (and daughter of John McLeod 1764 and Florence McPherson 1764). The next I know of William and Catherine is that they are living in Canada in about 1840. Family lore, says William was a shepherd in Scotland, and that baby Roderick died at sea enroute to North America. I would love to have more information about them such as marriage information, relatives, occupations, residency, ship name, ship departure / arrival point, departure records, etc. Most appreciative of any help provide. Thank you. Greg
red mail Thomas FRASER
This is my great great grandfather. He went to New Zealand sometime between 1845 and 1850. I have no other information for him apart from the fact that he is allegedly a cousin (or other relative) of the Lovat FRASERS. His son, my great grandfather was John FRASER, who was illegitimate, and whose mother - Jessie MACKINTOSH - died at his birth. He was brought up by a family called FORSYTH who lived at Lower Bridgend Beauly and appears with them in the 1851 and 1861 census. Any information on Thomas would be wonderful. It is also alleged that he had a family in NZ as there was correspondence between the families until the early 1900's but unfortunately all the letters were destroyed.
red mail Donald William Chisholm
I am searching for details of my grandfather Donald William Chisholm who was born on 23/11/1887.His father was Alec William Chisholm. Carpenter. He was married to Myrtle Irene Carlsson at Holy Trinity Church Windsor on 15/11/1919.He migrated to Australia on ship Hororato in July 1921.We would love to gain any records of, if he had any brothers or sisters or mothers name.
red mail Cameron-McKenzie
My ancestors left Beauly in 1775 bound for the United States aboard the Clementina. Donald (b. about 1710) and his 2 sons John Canady Cameron and Simon Cameron. Simon (I believe) was married to Catherine McKenzie and perhaps to her sister Ann also. I also believe that the McKenzie ladies had twin brothers. Any information on the Cameron or McKenzie line would be greatly appreciated..

red mail Beauly Invernesshire - Glasgow Orphans
I am trying to find information on James, Mary & Jack Duff from Denniston, Lanarks. James was born in 1902 and Mary may have been his twin. Jack was born in Glasgow iin 1900. At some period after 1902 these three children were orphaned and either adopted or resettled on a farm (Rheindown) in Beauly. James married Catharine Cameron in 1920 in the catholic church in Beauly. The family just called them "Glasgow Orphans". Was this a church or private organisation and how can we trace how these three children were orphaned? Any help appreciated. Christine
