The above were children of John Isley (b1800).He was living in Upwood in the early years of the 19th century,but by 1851 was resident at 74 church st Woodhurst,and worked as a agricultural labourer.He died in St Ives in 1863.I am interested in knowing the what happened to the above children.Sarah was born in 1832 and marriedin1852.Mary was born in1833/4 and also married in1852.James was born in 1835 and Pheobe was born in1837/8,and married in St Ives in 1856.Does anyone have information about all or any of these people,and what became of them

I am researching the Wales family.My Ggrandmother was Mary Ann, born 1852 in Woodhurst, to Thomas(from Houghton)and Margaret nee Rees.Other children were Elizabeth,Charles,John Thomas,Anna M, William, Harry R,Margaret E. Thomas was a farmer with 67 acres, employing 2 men. I would appreciate any info on this family.

Sarah Green of Woodhurst (a baptist) married my g.g.grandfather George Holliday born Sywell but living in Warboys, in 1848, she was his second wife, she became my g.g.grandmother. They both died in Leeds. She had brothers and sisters. Any information please.
I am researching the West family. In particular John West born 1825 who married Eliza Day in 1853 at Hemingford Abbots. Their son Joseph born 1862 married Catherine & they appear on the 1881 census at Woodhurst. They had 13 children most of whom were born at Woodhurst.

I am researching the family of Thomas and Mary(nee Relton) and their son, George Leonard Merrill born 1874, who in 1881 were at the Three Horseshoes public house in Church Street, now a private house. By 1901 George had moved to Leicester, married Mary Jane Mattock, had two children, Ellen Edith and George Leonard jnr and was a widower living with his brothers, Thomas and Frederick and sister Lizzie. The rest of the family were recorded as living in census place 33 in Church Street. Mary was buried in the churchyard of St John the Baptist in 1902. I am interested to know why they moved from Woodhurst and who they went to live with in Leicester as well as any information about their life and family in Woodhurst.
