Looking for details on marriage of my great uncle Frederick William Scales b/1879 in Hertfordshire. He worked as train engineer in Cuba, Panama and Miama, Florida before demising in 1924. Cannot find his marriage to Caroline Isabella (unknown) b/1880 in Ware ( according to his US citizenship application )....suspect they married in Cuba and I am working on that. Does anyone happen to have a Caroline Isabella b/1880 in Ware married to Frederick William Scales ?? Thanks...Bob on Vancouver Island.

I am resaearchin John Harvey who from the census says he was born in Ware Herts c 1856 The only John Harvey aged who I can see in 1861 in Ware has parents named Charles and Ann Harvey. However when John married in 1885 he said his father was George Harvey. Anyone with any Harvey family links in Herts ? Thanks

I'm after details of the Boswell Family from Ware. I have Stephen BOSWELL b. 1824, mother named Mary. No father/husband listed on the 1841 Census. Stephen married Sarah, also of Ware. I believe her maiden name may have been Brooks/Brookes. One possible connection is that on the night of the 1851 census they were listed as "visitors". The family in the house next door were Brooks. By 1861 Stephen and Sarah were in Edmonton, London. Love to hear from anyone with a connection.

Any information about the family of HAMP in Ware would be most welcome. I have JOSEPH HAMP and wife HARRIET nee BURGESS, neither were born in Ware, both were born in London, Joseph was born 1807 in Enfield, Harriet was born c1809. They went to live in Ware, and all their children were born there. I am now 71 years old and am trying to trace family connections. I would also particularly like to trace any photographs of Willis Lodge, which no longer exists but was at the entrance to what is now an extensive landfill site.
