James Winters was born abt. 1779 in Walkern, and married Ann (unknown). Their son James Winters b.3 Mar 1805 in Walkern m. Margaret Tinsley b. 4 Jun 1831 in Walkern. They had 10 children - James (1831) Dorcas Joshua (1832) Dorcas (1833) Daniel (1835) Charlotte (1837) Susannah (1837) Timothy (1840) William (1842) Noah (1845)Elijah (1846) Ruth (1848) Soloman (1850) - went to New Zealand - and Zachacias (1852) Elijah Winters b.36 Jul 1876 m. Elizabeth (Betsy) Cresswell 25 Dec 1869 in St. James Clerkenwell. (She was my great Aunt)They had two surviving children - Elizabeth b. 9 Dec 1870 in Clerkenwell and Edith b. 19 Jan 1882 in Westminster, d. 13 May 1930 in St. Albans. I would be pleased to hear from anyone who knows or is related to this family.
Wrights Brewery
My gt grandfather, Walter Bennett, was a dray driver for Wrights brewery. He was killed while working in 1895. His wife was Ann Rebecca Rand.
Beecroft
Looking for information on Adelaide Beecroft (DOB 1837) who married Thomas Pearman (DOB 1845) in Chelsea 1873, London. Adelaide & Thomas were resident in Walkern, Herts. prior to their marriage. Thomas was the son of George and Mary Pearman nee' Carter and had the following siblings. Sarah (DOB 1837),William (DOB 1840),Mary (DOB 1849)and Edwin (DOB 1851). Adelaide was the daughter of Robert and Ann Beecroft nee' Polard and had a brother Robert (DOB 1846). Adelaide died in 1875 after 2 years of married life and Thomas returned to the family home with his mother. Any help would be much appreciated.
John and Catherine Page
The Pages were a Walkern family (Catherine from Clothall) John Page was born 1820 and he and Catherine had 12 children all to maturity. Of the 5 girls 4 married Italians and 2 were my great Grand mothers. John Page was a Gardener - Who for and where ? any suggestions. Would like some photos if possible.

My Gt gt gt Grandmother was Frances Aylott born 16 June 1805 in Walkern, Hertfordshire, daughter of Thomas Aylott and Elizabeth Warner. She married John Hart on 22 October 1829 at St.Leonards, Shoreditch. I believe John Hart born c1800 may also have been from Walkern but have no proof at the moment. If anyone has information regards this family, I would be pleased to hear from them.
