red mail Foster and Carey-Foster of Rickmansworth
Mary Anne Frances Muir (1845-1917) was the elder sister of my great-great-grandmother Isabella Charlotte Muir. Mary Anne (known as Marianne) married George Carey Foster (1835-1919). They had eight children including (George) Muir Foster. My family kept in touch with some of these cousins and their children until at least 1970. I have quite a lot more info about the family and would love to make contact with any of their descendants.
red mail Smith/Cave, Rickmansworth
Charlotte Smith born Rickmansworth 1783, daughter of John & Ann Smith, married William Bawden London 1803. Peggy Cave born Rickmansworth 1797, daughter of John & Ann Cave, married Edward Turner London 1832, witnessed by William & Charlotte Bawden. In 1851 census, Edward & Peggy's daughter Anne Turner is living with William Bawden, described as his niece. Are Ann Smith and Ann Cave the same woman, having remarried? This would make Charlotte and Peggy half-sisters. Or is there some other explanation?

red mail Ellingham
Alfred Ellingham was born 1855 in Rickmansworth. In 1861 he may have lived with his aunt Lucy Coster and her family at Church Street. We think he married Rachel(born Epping 1847) and they lived in Castle Street, West Ham. By 1879 Rachel most probably had died as he was married to Eliza, nee Stock, and their daughter Jane had been born.Their family had grown to four children by 1891. There was Jane age 12 Alfred age 10, Maud aged 8 and Charles aged 3 and the family were in Manby Road, Wanstead. In 1894 Alfred was born but he would not know his dad for long as Alfred died some time between 1894 and 1901. Eliza and her Children stayed in the West Ham Area and were joined by her mother Sarah Stock. Eliza took in washing so was a laundress as her mother had been.
