I'm looking for info. on Eliza Taylor b. 1821in Kings Langley.She was baptised at 17 in 1838,with this name. Any info. on this Taylor family in the area would be greatly appreciated. Eliza had a daughter Mary Taylor b. 1841. also born in Kings Langley.They are shown on an 1841 census living with another girl in Kings Langley.I would like to have a little background knowledge of Eliza and her daughter.I know that later Eliza married Henry Sturman of Kings Langley, and had more children before moving to Windsor.I would like to know Eliza's parents name and if possible the name of Mary's father.Does anyone like looking at old gravestones here?I do not live in England.

Looking for relatives of Sears from Kings Langley. Latest ancestor of mine is George Sears, a sawyer (1825), who moved to Tring by 1840s. Married twice, Ann Saunders (1851) then Eleanor Funge (abt.1855) with one and three children respectively. Would like to hear more information - many thanks.
Plumbe
Quite recent history, but Plumbes settled in Kings-L by building on a vacant block on Langley Hill in 1933-35, and proceeded to have a sizeable family there during the next 20 years. This was despite there being a major interuption due to WW2! My older brothers and sisters in particular made many friends while at school there, locally and at Berkhamstead. Anyone recollect the name or family?

Looking for info on James Thrift (or possibly Evilthrift) born Kings Langley abt 1772 according to the 1851 census of Iver, Bucks. A James Evilthrift was christened in Kings Langley in May 1773, parents were Francis and Rebecca Evilthrift, there areno baptism entries for a James Thrift in the Kings Langley registers.
