red mail RUFF family
My RUFF family ancestors were in and arouns Aymestrey in the early 1800s .... moving then to Walsall in Staffordshire. My 3x great grandmother was taken back to Lower Lye near Aymestrey for burial .... but there is no church in Lower Lye .... but I am told there was once a methodist chapel ... does anyone know anything about the chapel or the RUFF (or RICKETTS) family?
red mail HARDWICK
I have discovered that my Gr,Gr.Gr.Grandfather John Hardwick was born in Llanbister, Radnor, in 1766, and my Gr.Gr.Gr. Grandmother Elizabeth Jones, was born in Forden, Montgomeryshire (christened in Welshpool), in 1791. They did marry in Aymestry on the 19/12/1815. Their children were: Mary b.1816, Anna b.1818, ELIZABETH b.1820,Thomas b.1823 and William b.1825. I am decended from Charles Hardwick, a son born to Elizabeth, out of wedlock, in 1837. I have also discovered that John was married twice, his first wife was Jane Griffith, they married in Aymestrey in 1796, and they had 3 children, James b.1797, Ann b.1800 and John b. 1803. I am presuming that Jane died, and he then married Elizabeth in 1815. I am therefore looking for decendents of the 3 children of his first marriage James, Ann & John, and the children of his second marriage to Elizabeth, Mary, Anna, Thomas & William. Hoping someone out there may be able to help. Rita.

I am seeking decendants of Elizabeth (nee Hardwick) & Richard Gwilliams. Elizabeth was born in 1820 and Richard born in 1811. They married on the 20/1/1842 in Aymestrey. They had 10 children: William Henry - b.1842 d.1903. Fanny b.1844 d.1885. Thomas b.1846 d?. George b.1848 d.1866. Mary b. 1850 d.1866, Ann b.1852 d?. John b.1855 d?. Herbert b.1858 d?. Eliza b.1860 d.1862. Jane b.1864 d?. Hoping there is someone out there who may be able to help me add to my Family Tree. Elizabeth had a son before she married Richard, named Charles, and he was christened 'Charles Hardwick' Charles was my Great Grandfather, thus Elizabeth was my Great, great Grandmother.
