Sarah born about 1774 (Knight family)
I am trying to find information on Sarah (surname unknown) born about 1774. The 1851 census shows her birthplace as Odiham. She seems to have moved to Chertsey (Surrey) by the 1790s and married there in 1794 a mason called Thomas Knight. The family went on to be builders in Chertsey during the 19th and 20th centuries. I am wondering whether Thomas Knight, who seems to have served an apprenticeship under John Hames of All Saints Stamford (Lincoln) as a surveyor, might have worked on construction of the Basingstoke Canal.

red mail Ann Burningham lawsuit
I wonder if anyone knows anything about a lawsuit concerning an Ann Burningham of Odiham (born 1775/6), whose father may have been called John, though I am by no means sure of this. She was evidently set to inherit £4000, but was made homeless and penniless after a lawsuit following the death of her father (possibly in 1826). I would love to know the circumstances surrounding this as well to verify who her father was. I do know that she married a John Cooper in 1796. Many thanks, Jane

red mail Prither
Searching for Thomas Prither b: Hartley Wintney, Odiham, c1846. His mother is listed as Edith Prither, but this may be her maiden name, and she may have been his aunt. Edith married a Joseph White of Odiham in 1849. Thomas is listed on the 1851 census as the "son-in-law" of Joseph White but was probably his stepson. There is also a William White age 1 year listed. Thomas Prither may have taken his stepfathers name, White, but the family cannot be found on the 1861 census. It is possible that Thomas was adopted. He may have married Margaret Thorn c1864 and later moved to Croydon in Surrey. Any information please?
