red mail Peter Pemberton b.1834
Looking for a Peter Pemberton born in Scotland in 1833, according to Canadian and US Census. Also both of his parents were born in Scotland In 1852 He married Henrietta Hatch b. 1833 (England) in Levis, Quebec, Canada. They subsequently had (2) sons, Wm. John Pemberton b.1853 and Henry T Pemberton b.1856-7 along with (1) daughter, Agnes Pemberton b.1858. Both Henry and Agnes were born in Massachusetts according to the 1871 Canada Census. I have had no luck in the 1841 or 1851 Scotland Census's in finding this Peter Pemberton. The only real clue that there were Pemberton's in Scotland is that I found a Pemberton Valley location in the Southern end of AYR. Can anyone tell of Peter Pemberton or how/why Pemberton Valley got that name? HELP!
