red mail Henry Hulbert of Winterbourne
One of my ancestors is Henry Hulbert, and I am trying to find who his parents were. He was born in Winterbourne about 1817. The 1841 Census for Winterbourne lists Joseph Hulbert (a tailor)aged 65, together with Henry Hulbert (a tailor) aged 25, and Elizabeth Hulbert aged 30. So this could be my Henry. Joseph Hulbert, yeoman of Dauntsey, married Mary Ady on 5th May 1800. The parish records for St Michaels, Winterborn, lists the burials of Joseph Hulbert aged 67 on 6th August 1843, and Mary Hulbert aged 66 on 26th April 1840. I have found nothing to say what children Joseph & Mary Hulbert had, if any. However, it is also possible that Henry was the son of a Joseph Hulbert and Elizabeth Tyndall, married 30th April 1800 in Cranham. Any information to help me establish who Henry Hulbert's parents were would be appreciated. John
