red mail Thomas Sinderby 1752 - 1812
I am looking for any information about the life and work of Thomas Sinderby .. I have various family facts and dates but am desperate to find out anything else about him (I have ordered his will and think he may have been a cooper - but that may be a red herring!). I have recently bought a bassoon dating from around 1800 and marked with the maker's name SINDERBY - I want to find who made it and as much about their life as possible - I am drawn to THIS Sinderby because there is a commemorative plaque to him in Westbury church, depicting a violin and bow and music book. I have now got a photo of the plaque - and see that he was from Pope's Hill - anything about his life and work - or suggestions about where to search next would be very welcome!
