red mail Davis
Although this is, or was , a common name in this general area I have not been able to find the origins of my grandmother Nancy Elizabeth Davis, her sisters, Alice, Edith, Maud, Trix and Florrie or their father Joshua Henry Davis and his wife Elizabeth. I knew Nancy (born March 1881, died March 1981) most of my life but of her sisters I know nothing. Joshua was born circa 1851 and died 7 Oct 1903 following a road accident near Newent in 1903. I can trace no birth, marriage or death records of any of the family other than for Nancy's marriage certificate in 1906. I know that Joshua was working at Oakle Green near Newent at the time of his death but nothing more. If anyone elses research has produced any references to this family I would be very greatful.

red mail POYNER/SMITH/BOUGHTON/WINTLE
My main interest is in any connections the Poyner family of Taynton. First appear in Parish Registar in Taynton in 1701. Francis Poyner married Margaret Collwall at Kempley in 1701. Where was Francis from. Possible links to Oxenhall, however no Francis baptism there. Also in Oxenhall baptism's going backwards to early 1600's with father's all as William Poyner, but no children named William never baptised. Other families in Taynton that Poyner's link into are Smith, Boughton, and Wintle.
