red mail george johnstone - doctor
Can anyone help with map/photos of The Pound, Sandhurst. This is the address listed for Dr. George Johnstone (b 1800, retired), his wife Mary b 1807, daughter Mary ME b 1849 and servant Alice Holford b 1859 in the 1881 census. George is my great great grandfather. His son, John Johnstone Salcomb Johnstone, was a medico as well.
red mail Moorfield Family of Sandhurst, Glos.
I have traced my family back to John Moorfield who married Elinor. John was born in 1674 and Elinor 1675. They apparently lived in or near Sandhurst. Can anyone shed any light on these people?
red mail Drinkwaters in Sandhurst
Searching for information on Samuel and Joyce Drinkwater. They were born around 1700. Their son Joseph was born in Sandhurst in about 1718. He married Anne Davill around 1745. Samuel and Joyce are my brickwalls on this line. Much appreciate any help.
red mail JOHN CURTIS
I am hoping someone may have some information on a John Curtis who was born around 1821 in Sandhurst. He married an Elizabeth Brooks in St Mary Lode in 1843.
red mail Hobbs blacksmiths
Researching my family who lived in the Blacksmiths Shop in Sandhurst from late 1600s till about 1900. Would very much like to find information relating to the blacksmith shop in the village and any other details relating to the life of the village at any part of the period above. Ray
I am looking for information about these two families. Rose Brooks (gt greandmother) married Thomas Redman (gt grandfather). Rose had two brothers (possibly more), one William, either lived or worked at Brawn Farm, Sandhurst, the other, Thomas, was an engine driver on the Somerset & Dorset railway. Rose & Thomas Redman lived on the Claverham Road between Yatton & Claverham & then I think moved to Bristol. Do you know any thing about these people? Please help. Thanks.
