My Great Grandfather x 6 Daniel Dean (1796 - 1879) lived at Nibley House from about 1824 to 1852 where he was a tenant farmer. He was married twice to Sarah Marsh and Georgina Lewis and had 18 children. Our line is through his 8th son Albert Dean who ran away and joined the Royal Marines changing his name to Albert Daniels. If anyone has researched this line I would be glad to hear from you.

Samuel Fisher married Mary Fowler in Charfield in 1804. They had a son William who was baptised in Charfield later on that year. I can't find Samuel's parents in Charfield - so I'm stuck! And North Nibley is close afterall.... Just wondering whether you have trace him through another route!
