red mail Nettle
I am researching my family who lived in the Kingswood area in the late 1880s. The head of the family was John Nettle and his wife called Mary Ann (maiden name of Stone or Bright Stone). Does anyone have any information about this family?
red mail Dallow James Claude
DALLOW James Claude was my uncle. He was born in London December 1902 to Jane and Arthur. He had twin sisters Lillian and Olive and the last time they heard from him was in 1936 after the death if their parents. I am wondering if he is the same person mentioned in the London Gazette in April 1943 and then again on the evacuees list escaping from Singpore 15.2.1943. and the same james Claude DALLOW who died on 14.1.1972 in Bristol whos death was registered by his Brother in Law Albert George GAY
WILLIAMS (Potterswood)

Dove - Kingswood, Bristol
Researching Francis Dove (DOB c.1855) married Priscilla ---- ? --- along about 1875. He was a Clicker in the Boot Trade, working in the Kingswood district of South Gloucestershire. I think he originated from Germany with the surname of TAUBER, but changed it to DOVE prior to marriage. Francis & Priscilla had three children - Walter Charles (DOB 1877), Annie Louise (DOB 1879) and Frank (DOB 1883),who was my great grandfather. Francis died in Newport, Mon. in 1882.I would most grateful for any further info.
COWLEY family
Looking for any information on the COWLEY family. In 1841 Samuel Cowley, coal miner, is living at Honey Hill with wife ? Nancy. In 1851 he is at Warmley Hill with wife Ann. Children include Mary, Sarah, Ambrose, Betsey, Ann and Samuel. I am particularly interested in daughter Mary who married William THOMPSON. William and Mary are living with the Cowley family by 1861 with their children George and Mary Ann.
MEAD family
Jane MEAD, spinster, of Cockroad, was present at the baptism of her daughters Ann, age 22 and Sarah, 15, on 12 December 1819. Ann Mead, spinster, of Cockroad, baptised her daughter Elizabeth in July of the same year. Several years later, in 1832, Sarah Mead, spinster baptised her "base born" daughter Ann. On the same day Edward and Love Baker (formerly MEAD) baptised their daughter Mary. Does anyone have any information on the MEAD family which would help prove a link between Love and the others ?
red mail Pearce
Looking for Henry S Pearce born 1848 in Kingswood and a possible brother James born 1841 . Any information about the family would be gratefully received.

John Philips Smith WILLIAMS married Alice Agnes GAY (nee WATTS) at the parish church in Kingswood on 20th May 1900. Any information about this couple please.
red mail Caroline Bryant 1821
Caroline Bryant was born in Kingswood c.1820. Her father was named James Bryant. I think the family moved to Frome sometime between her birth and her marriage in Frome in 1841. Can anyone connect with the Bryant family from this time
