Hello I am trying to find descendants of Benjamin Fox and his wife Emma Hawkins. I believe they had the following children; Benjamin William born 1870;Annie born 1873; Emily born 1876; Tom, who is my grandfather, born 1877; Bessie born 1883 and Rose borne 1886. I do have some information on Benjamin William but know nothing about the girls born to this family. Thank you Sarah

John Smith & his second wife Betsey nee Robbins had three children; Eliza Smith b. c1855, Martin Sydney Smith b. c1856, George b. c1858. I would like the Baptisms for these three children. Their older half siblings were Baptised at the Parish Chapel Parkend, and the Parish Chapel Clearwell, while their parents, John Smith and his first wife, Eliza nee Nash, were living at Cleaver End Green.

Can anyone confirm the birth years and names of the people in this family? The couple left Bristol, England in 1859 on the MATOAKA arriving in New Zealand 1860. Their 7 children came with them. Eliza's father was Richard NASH born 1778. John's father was John Smith born c.1797-1899. John (Jnr) born about 1819. Eliza born about 1821. Children: Thomas Smith (my grt grandfather) b.1844, Ann Smith b.1846 (both these Forest of Dean, or perhaps West Dean). Rhoda Smith b.1847. James Smith b. 1848. Eliza Smith b.1855. Martin Sydney Smith b.1856. George Smith b.1858. If you have the marriage of the father about 1818, I would like that info.

Father James Richards, agricultural labourer born Monmouthshire Cwmcarvan Mitchel Troy c.1805. Mother Mary Ann nee Price originally from Plymouth. Sons Edwin and Samuel coal miners; Edwin eventually became a railway signalman.

Looking for any info about Thomas Henry Williams born around 1886 in Coleford. I know he moved to Nova Scotia, Canada sometime before 1915 which is when he married Laura Matheson, who was born around 1885. They had a daughter named Jean Elizabeth in 1925 but I'm not sure of any other children. The only information I have regarding his parents is that their names were Charles and Emma. Any help is appreciated, thank :)

I am looking for the above born around that date living in Coleford, Forest of Dean area. Ethel married a George Page Smith, he came from Hereford but I dont know exactly where. They came to Abertillery early 1900's and had their first of ten children, George being the first born, then David John Smith born 1908 which was my aunts husband. I am sorry for being so vague but I think I am grasping at straws. Thank you in advance for any help I may have.

Does anyone have a Hubert Thomas Lloyd in their family tree he was born in 1889 at Berry Hill West Dean near Coleford Monmouth his father was William Lloyd his mother Mary formally Frowen. I have a very old copy of his birth certificate I would love to pass on to his descendants if they are out there. He must have worked at a colliery in Cwmtillery Monmouthshire at one time also at Redbrook Tinplate Company near Monmouth. Can anyone help?

I am trying to trace my GG Grandparents, John Watts born Whitecliff 1821 and his wife Eliza (unknown maiden name) born Whitecliff 1820. John, according to 1861 census was a master potter. Any information would be great as it is a bit hard trying to know where to look from here in Australia.

My great great grandfather was William Brown, colliery proprietor; born around 1824 and married to Arabella (or Allabella?) Census info says they were both born locally but no record of their birth or marriage so far, still searching. Irish connection? Son AMOS lived in WYNOLS HILL MANSION in Broadwell, other children ARABELLA, FANNY, BENJAMIN, JANE, and EMMA my great grandmother (died 1940) who married SAMUEL ELLIS. their son BENJAMIN my grandfather was a colliery owner in business with Benjamnin Brown. Emma and Samuel Ellis also had Amos, Enoch, Alice, Ruth, William and Samuel. I am trying to trace any descendants of William Brown (all his great great grandchildren)and also find out about his ancestry.

I am tracing my Dads family and have managed to go back to 1828.I beleive they mostly came from Coleford Ruardean My Dad is Edward who has lived in Plymouth since about 1951 he has a brother called Leonard and a sister called Betty. My grandad was called Oliver born 1900 his father was Thomas1864 and his father was John born 1828. I am looking for siblings of Henry Williams (born in Dursley 1820. Henry married Charlotte Porter and at the time of emigrating to New Zealand was living in Coleford as a shoemaker. I have traced all his descendants in NZ but would like to find family in Gloucestershire. Charlotte died on the boat coming over (Brothers Pride) and Henry had 5 children to bring up, Eliza, Pamela, Miriam (baby), William, Joseph.
