I have a Kate Midwinter. She was my great grandmother's sister (Clara I believe). She married 'uncle Mid'. I have photos of Kate and Clara as well as photos of Uncle Mid at several different ages in the Harvey family album. My great grandfather (Walter Harvey) also worked at W.H. Midwinter photography near to Mid's retirement. I have a picture of my grandmother done in 1905 --'colourized' with watercolour done by Kate. I do not believe Kate and Mid had any children.

In June 1853, with two children Selena and William, they boarded the Princess Royal under contract to the Hudsons Bay Company to work in the coal mines in Nanaimo BC Canada.
