DANIEL(S) from BRISTOL, 18-19 th c.
I would want to know more about my 3g-grandfather Solomon JONES ' wife, a certain Sarah Rebecca DANIEL(S). Until now I only knew she came with her husband and their children from LONDON to BRUSSELS around 1824, and she died there in 1829, aged only 43 y. She was thus born about 1786 . . I don't know where. Solomon had been formerly a Navy's Agent and had lived at Bunhill Row, ISLINGTON (London). Also it's certain the family was of the Jewish persuasion. All that not sufficient to perform successful research ! But I recently read in a book about one relative of mine, a certain Alexander B. JOHNSON, direct cousin of the said Solomon who emigrated to the USA in 1801, that Sarah's family should be originally from BRISTOL - I suppose Gloucestershire . . still not sufficient for results but a huge step ahead (if it's true) ! Phineas was her father's name, who has been a shirt manufacturer in Philadelphia (Pa, USA) a few years before the American Revolutionary War (1775-83), also Sarah had 3 siblings. Does it perhaps - by chance only - light a very small lamp by anybody ? I'ld highly appreciate if I could get some tip for my searching work.

Saward, Savery connection - Bristol
Henry Savery was an unsuccessful businessman from Bristol. He ran a sugar refining business at Redcliff Street Bristol in the 1820s. He was in partnership with a man called Bigg and another called Saward. He went bankrupt after a couple of years, was arrested for forgery and transported to Australia. It is his partner Saward in whom I am interested. I would dearly love to know the first name or initials of this man as he may be have been my ggg grandfather. Can anyone help?

red mail Norman family of Bristol
I have been searching for many years for my great-grandfathers family. His name was William James Norman born 1867 in Bristol, his parents were William James (or James)Norman and Mary Ann Berkeley Edwards Norman. My great-grandfather had a sister Louisa, Emily and brother John, all younger than himself. My great-grandfather emmigrated alone to Canada approx. 1882-1885. Any information on his family still in England would be greatly appreciated. Other info. may be that John Norman spent some time in Cheddar in an institution for TB and he had a wife named Catherine Mcleod and they had 2 children. I am not sure who Louisa married nor who Emily married but I believe the name Williams comes up for one of them. There was a cousin named Grace Williams in approx. 1940 who still lived in Bristol. Thank you for any help in this matter.
