Sissil (alias Cecil, Cisil etc) Lewis married Francis Symes in February 1731/32 at Porthkerry. Francis was from Axbridge in Somerset and the couple spent part of their married life there. He was found guilty of bigamy in 1757 having gone through a form of marriage with a widow, Sarah Brock, whilst Cecily was still alive. Cecily then petitioned for a judicial separation from him. Does anyone have any information on Cecily Lewis's parentage?

Hello I am trying to find out any information on my my GGreat grandfather Charles Thomas he was born around 1853 in Newport Area. He married Elizabeth "Bessie" Griffiths in 1881 in Pontypridd, on the marriage certificate it states that his father was William Thomas Who was a surgeon however Charles could not write and was a Ginger Beer Seller so I believe he has lied about his father so I do not know where to go from here to find Charles parents any hints or has anyone else have these ancestors.

Searching for information about my grt gandmother Born 1863 Cocket or Sketty (not too sure which sorry) Swansea. I know she worked for Lord Swansea as his cook because she is shown in the 1901 census returns. I know where she was from then until 1907 when my grandfather was born but because of a family problem she had to return to work about 1910/11. Family stories say it was in a place called Killay in Swansea working for a man called Padbury/Padley? Not too sure of his correct name and I would guess as his cook. If any one has any information about this man I would be grateful to hear from you. I do know that there was a family called Padley who were Quakers but have no idea if this is the family?? Thank you

My Great, Great Grandfather-David Llewelyn was born in St.Brides, Glamorgan( the Census Document doesn't stipulate which St.Brides-apart from being in Glamorgan!) in 1843. His Father was Thomas Llewelyn and Mother Margaret. David had 4 siblings; Thomas b-1843;John b-1851; Mary b-1836 & William b-1834. Thomas Llewelyn snr. was recorded in the 1851 Wales Census as being a Miller although the 1841 Census describes him as an Agricultural Labourer). R/e Parish records for St.Brides, Thomas's Father was a William Llewelyn and his mother was Mary, I'm intending to have another look at the St.Brides Parish Records to see if I can find out anymore-although I suspect that they were Religious Dissenters! In the meantime, if anyone Knows Anything r/e Llewelyn's of St.Brides, then I would love to know.

How can I find out about his death? He lived with his wife Ellen and children at 14 Melbourne Terrace. He had relatives called Jones from Malvern who came to live in the village in the 1960s.(7/5/05: problem solved.He was not in the mine, but in a sandstone quarry, when he was buried under a landslide on the face where he was working.)

Most of my Julien anscestors lived or worked in or around Cardiff from the 1920s onwards.
